What I actually do
I write the scripts that get read out loud - thirty seconds, sixty, the awkward ninety that clients ask for and never need. Most briefs arrive as a deck with a proposition on slide four and no idea how a person would say it. My job is the sentence a real presenter can land in one breath, in Egyptian Arabic that does not sound translated from English, because most of it is. I work in the brief, not around it: if the proposition is wrong I will tell you before I write, not after you have paid for three rounds.

—What they said after
“We asked for three hooks and got six, and the one that worked was not the one we would have picked.”
“Delivered the Ramadan set four days before air. That has never once happened to us.”
“The menu shoot is still the reason people walk in. Two years on we have not reshot it.”
“Rewrote the cold open, doubled our watch time, and explained exactly why it worked.”
“Handed over a Figma library our own designer now maintains. That was worth more than the posts.”
“Turned a factory floor into something people actually finished watching.”
